When someone tags you in a note on the Root Dashboard, you’ll receive a notification. To use this feature, you’ll first need to ensure that your role has the right permissions enabled.

To allow a role to receive and manage notifications:
- Click on the Organisation tab in the bottom left corner of your Dashboard.
- From the grey menu, select Roles.
- Click on the role you’d like to update. Click Edit Role in the top right corner.
- In the Permissions tab, scroll to the App notifications section and enable the following permissions:
- Read app notifications
- Manage app notifications
- Create app notifications
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
View your notifications
To open your notifications panel:
- Click on the Notifications icon (bell) in the blue navigation bar on the left-hand side of the Root Dashboard.
- You’ll see a list of notifications where you’ve been tagged in a note. Each notification includes the team member who mentioned you, the context (e.g. claim or policy), and the time.
- Click Go to [domain] to jump straight to the note where you were tagged.
Manage your notifications
You can manage your notifications as follows:
- Mark as read: Click Mark as read next to any unread notification.
- Mark all as read: Use the toggle at the top to mark all unread notifications in one go.
- Unread filter: Switch the Unreads toggle at the top of the panel to filter only unread items.
-
Visual Indicators for Unread Notifications:
- Unread notifications are highlighted with a blue background and a red dot.
- Once a notification is marked as read, both the blue highlight and red dot will disappear.
- Note: Notifications cannot be marked as unread once they’ve been marked as read.
