FAQ - Task Management

*Q: Where do I find Task management?

Select Tasks in the left-hand navigation. From there, the built-in views (All tasks, My tasks, Unassigned, Overdue) let you slice the list without setting up filters each time.

*Q: What's the difference between a once-off task and a recurring task?

A once-off task is created once and stays as a single item in the list. A recurring task is created by ticking Schedule for later or set to repeat when you make it — from then on the schedule lives under Recurring tasks, Manage schedules where you manage its frequency, next run, when it ends. Each time a task is created based on the schedule, it will appear in you All tasks view, just like once-off tasks.

*Q: Do I have to link a task to a policy, claim, or other record?

No. Linking an entity is optional — tick Link an entity in the New task form only if the task relates to a specific record.

*Q: Can I break a task into smaller steps?

Yes. Tick Add a checklist when creating the task, or open an existing task and use its Checklist tab to add items afterwards.

*Q: How do I see a task's history?

Open the task and check the Activity tab on the right-hand side. Use the Notes tab next to it to leave a comment without changing the task's status.

*Q: Why is "My tasks" empty?

That view only shows tasks assigned to you. If nothing's been assigned to you yet, you'll see a "No tasks" empty state rather than an error.
