Once you have logged into your Root dashboard, you can open a claim in one of two ways:
Open a claim from the list of claims:
- Click on the Claims icon in the blue navigation bar on the left side of your screen.
- Click on New claim.
- Enter the claimant's details. They'll be notified via email or SMS.
- Choose the policy linked to the claim. You can search by policy number, policyholder name, or ID.
- Now, you can describe the claim. You can edit these details anytime; immediate input isn't necessary.
Open a claim from a policy:
- Click on the Policies icon in the blue navigation bar on the left side of your screen.
- Find and open the relevant policy.
- Click on the Ellipses menu in the top right corner.
- Select Open claim.
- Enter the claimant's details.
- Now, you can describe the claim. You can edit these details anytime; immediate input isn't necessary.
After opening the claim, you'll see a summary of the entered details. Below that, you'll need to describe the incident being claimed. The required info varies based on the product and benefit claimed. Missing details could affect claim approval
