Note: Only admin users have permission to create organisations.
To create an organisation, follow these steps:
- Log into your Root dashboard.
- Click the blue Create an organisation button in the top right corner of your screen.
- Fill in the organisation details:
- Provide the Organisation name.
- Add the Website link and a brief Description of your organisation (optional).
- Add the Timezone in which your organisation operates.
- Click the Next button in the bottom right corner.
- Select a starter template for your organisation’s first product module.
Note: After the organisation and product module is created you can change all template configurations using Workbench.
- Fill in the product module details.
- Name the product module.
- Assign a Key to the product module – This key is a unique identifier for the organisation and can be identical to the user group name.
- Click the Create button.
Once the organisation is created, it will appear on the Organisations screen when you log in to Dashboard.
Notes:
- Roles and team members: You will become the organisation owner after it is created and can add existing Root users to your organisation, as well as assign their roles.
- Sandbox mode: Your organisation will be created in sandbox mode. You will not be able to issue real policies or collect real money. Live production data can only be viewed once the organisation has been approved by Root.
