To edit your password, follow these steps:
- Log into your Root dashboard.
- Click on the ⏺⏺⏺ icon in the blue navigation bar in the bottom left side of your screen.
- Click My account settings.
Select Security.Here you can choose whether you would like to edit your:
- Password: Password when logging into Root.
- 2 factor authentication: 2 factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra verification step to your password with SMS-based OTPs.
To change your password, follow these steps:
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password.
Password rules:
- Must be 10 or more characters
- Must be 128 or less characters

If less than 20 characters, it must satisfy at least 3 of the following:
- at least one lowercase letter
- at least one uppercase letter
- at least one digit
- at least one special character
- Enter the OTP that you’ve received via SMS. If you have an app-based authenticator, enter the verification code from your authentication app.
- If you have not received an OTP via SMS, click on Resend OTP.
- Once you have entered all the required information, click Update Password.
