Edit your password

To edit your password, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Root dashboard.
  2. Click on the ⏺⏺⏺ icon in the blue navigation bar in the bottom left side of your screen.

 

  1. Click My account settings.

Select Security.Here you can choose whether you would like to edit your:

  • Password: Password when logging into Root.
  • 2 factor authentication: 2 factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra verification step to your password with SMS-based OTPs.

 

To change your password, follow these steps:

  1. Click Change Password.

  1. Enter your current password.
  2. Enter a new password.

Password rules: 

  1. Must be 10 or more characters
  2. Must be 128 or less characters
  3. If less than 20 characters, it must satisfy at least 3 of the following:
    1. at least one lowercase letter
    2. at least one uppercase letter
    3. at least one digit
    4. at least one special character
  1. Enter the OTP that you’ve received via SMS.  If you have an app-based authenticator, enter the verification code from your authentication app. 
  2. If you have not received an OTP via SMS, click on Resend OTP.
  3. Once you have entered all the required information, click Update Password
