Close a complaint

If a complaint has been resolved, you can close it on the Root dashboard.

  1. Log into your Root dashboard
  2. Click on the Complaints icon in the blue menu bar on the left of your screen.

  1. Search for and click on the complaint that you want to edit.
    You can search for the complaint by:
  • The complaint number.
  • The complainant's name.
  • The policyholder ID number

  1. It’s good practice to Create a note on the complaint detailing how it was resolved. If you’d like to add a note to a complaint, follow this guide.
  2. Once you’ve left a note, click Close complaint. The complainant will be notified once you hit Close complaint on the modal.

The status of the complaint will be updated to Closed.
